Here are some of the reasons.Yes, that is a puppy, and yes it is my new sissy, here to stay.Yes, that is a small pony. Okay, not here to stay (thank goodness) and not a pony. Actually he is okay, kinda nice. Been a while. Here is the long and short of it.

Nicky Noodle Collie has a new home. He and Duncan were just fighting so much and no one was happy. So Mom gave him up. I don't miss him, but she does. She has cried buckets over him. (I'm still here, whats to cry about?). Nicky now lives with a family with two daughters, and a cat. No other dogs. I hear he is being spoilt rotten.

Miles left for a new foster, Sophie went back to the rescue shelter. She still is waiting for a forever home.

We've had several new fosters come and go. Bellatrix, Rori, and Major. Major is a Pug and he only has two teeth. He is staying. Mom and the human boys love him and he likes to sleep. Who doesn't?

Tavish got lost on New Years Day and ended spending the night out. He was found by someone two miles away from Nana's house, on the other side of the lake. Mom was totally freaked. Tavish's heart has gotten worse since then. He has had three grand mal seizures that we know about. He is on another heart medicine and Mom hopes she won't have to add phena barb to it.

Duncan is happier, I'm sort of happier. We have a new deaf foster named Regan, she is an Aussie.

And the big news is that we have a new puppy. Yes, Mom caved and we now have little Vanilla Milkshake aka Nillie. Nillie is a 9 week old Sheltiex/Chihuhua. She is a pest.

For all my girlfriends who have missed me. I'm still handsome, and right now I smell really good. My Mom had me groomed, I hated it, but if it makes me better looking, who can fight it.

Mom has a new computer so no pictures right now...but soon, as soon as she ports some over, whatever that means.

Love and kisses

M-the-VMaximillian the Vallianthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18065762531385205273noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33414807.post-59039558679834886382008-11-19T19:49:00.004-05:002008-11-19T19:54:54.811-05:00Thanks...
Thanks for all the kind words about Wookie's passing. We all miss him a lot. It is kinda funny how a little Wookie can leave such a huge space in our hearts.

Well, Sophie finally left this week. It is sad and it is a relief. Mom said she had a hard time with it because Sophie trusted her. I haven't had much energy to blog about it. We all miss him a lot. He was 17 years old and had been with us for 3 years. Frankly, Mom was surprised he stayed so long. My little human brothers were gone for the weekend so they didn't get to say goodbye, but they were rolling down the car windows in the dark and yelling it out to the trees, "We love you Wookie!" "We miss you Wookie!"

Now Mom is going to be sending Sophie back to the rescue because she bit Mom twice last weekend. She wasn't trying to bit Mom, she was trying to get Duncan.

Duncan has had it very rough recently. Nicky has been really going after him. Nicky has gotten a little better, but he did it again today. Mom was ticked and Nicky had to stay in his crate all afternoon.

Mom pulled another Sheltie senior from the local shelter. His name was Tinder. Mom like him a lot, but he went to another foster while Sophie is here. But we did get to have a Sheltie party with me, Tavish and Tinder.

Tavish was sick a while ago and it turns out he has congestive heart failure like me. Mom says she needs to take out stock in the company that makes the medicine lasix.

And NOW we have a sheltie puppy staying with us. Mom hasn't gotten him to stand still long enough for a picture. He is a "lethal white." That means both his parents were blue merles and that he is deaf and partially blind. Sure doesn't stop him though. He is 9 months old. Nicky thinks that he is his twin lost at birth. The two of them play non stop. My older human brother loves the two of them too. Mom keeps saying that my older human brother needs to take care of "his puppy." Man I hope that doesn't mean that Miles is staying. Can we trade him in for Tinder?

There was a cat that adopted us that Mom named Baboo. She sent him to the rescue to be neutured, but he didn't come back. He tested positive for FIV and has to stay with the rescue until they can find a foster home that takes in FIV positive cats. Mom was really sad about it. But I know that Schnitzel and Teddycat aren't sad at all. I think they are delighted.

Mom is worried about them being sick with FIV now. She moans about her vet bill because it is twice the size of her monthly mortgage. I guess it is a good thing that her vet is rescue friendly too. Mom says she needs to stop helping the older dogs, but I doubt she can stop that.

I hope everyone is doing well. I'll try and check in.

M-the-V

Maximillian the Vallianthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18065762531385205273noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33414807.post-20836929037126788642008-09-13T22:44:00.002-05:002008-09-13T22:45:01.948-05:00I am alive in Michigan...Not doing much these days. Mom has diabused him of the idea that he is in charge. No more fighting. He thinks he is second in command. Ha, little does he know he has no command at all. But all in all things are good. I let him ride in my human brother's car seat in the car, he leaves me alone.

But tell me Key Collies, do you guys sing all the time. Cause Nicky sings constantly! I can't seem to get a good picture of the hammies. Probably because they are so small.

Nickey almost had to leave as he shredded Duncan's ear. But Mom has been "riding" his butt to keep him more in line. I tried to tell her that life would be so much easier if it was just me she had. But she seems to like having the pack.

More later

Maxey (or MTV to the Key Collies)
Maximillian the Vallianthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18065762531385205273noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33414807.post-67202054544859085352008-04-09T11:38:00.009-05:002008-12-11T06:08:45.838-05:00Comings and goingsHello fellow furkids...it has been a while since I've had the energy to post. My mom has been extremely active in doggie rescue so we've had a ton of dogs come through since February. To keep you up to speed here we go...

Evie has not moved out. Charley was more important than my complaints, but do you know that Mom left me, Evie and Lily at Miss Jenny's house? And did you know that Miss Jenny has a little terriorist (ie. scottish terriorist) named Chloebelle. Well I fixed her good, she won't even come near me. She wouldn't keep her nose out of my business so I peed on her face. Sure did. HA!

M-the-ever-V

PS thanks for all the lovely notes on Charley's passing. I know Mom will appreciate them. She is still having a hard time accepting that she wasn't there for him when he needed her. But I know he knew she loved him. Right now I certain I am living in Hell's freezer. It was 2 degrees last Friday morning. 2! That is pretty cold for Michigan. AND we've had snow and snow and snow. We've had two major snow falls, then it melts and goes into Mom's basement. Then it snows again. It is hard for me to get my daily sun in, Mom doesn't let me sit outside for very long, even when I want to.

In addition to the cold, we've had a bunch of strange dogs traipsing through the house.

First there was Santana, this black lab/chow mix that came up to Mom when she was dropping the human brothers off at daycare. His owner came looking for him, knocking door to door until they found him.

Then Reggie came to stay. Reggie's foster mom was going to Hawaii, so Mom said she would wathch him. He was pretty nice, he treated me with respect, so he was fine.

Then Arrow showed up at the back fence. He was pretty obnoxious, but Mom fell in love with him. Like that doesn't happen every day! Anyway, Arrow went to Collie Rescue yesterday and Mom is feeling mopy. But since Duncan, Lily and Charley hated him and kept picking fights...well. Mom also said she couldn't afford another dog right now. So she is a bit weepy. Ah well, peace is restored to the house (well, Lily is still here).

We are looking forward to spring here.

M-the-V
Maximillian the Vallianthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18065762531385205273noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33414807.post-10590738593509368212008-01-01T20:12:00.000-05:002008-01-01T20:24:55.289-05:00Health, Happiness and ProsperityHappy New Year Buddies...

I wanted to log on and tell you all what my New Year's Resolution is. I Maximillian the Valliant intend to spend more time biting Lily's butt in 2008. I figure it will be good for my manly figure.

My mom went totally goofy greeting the new year. She said it was some sort of funky sway kharma thingy. She put 27 dollar bills in her wallet and 49 coins, then sprinkled it with ginger. She ate fish (can't blame her there), she didn't talk about the past, just the future. She opened all the doors and windows at midnight to let the bad out and the good in. And (her personal favorite) she didn't do any cleaning today, or use any sharp knives. She says she wants all the good kharma and luck she can get for the new year.

Mom and I are back doing doggie transport. We are good at it, so we organize for one of our favorite rescues. They cover 5 states. I guess they needed help. Everyone is doing okay, but we've all had some extra meds. Wookie's back got all blistered and broke open. Mom and the vet said he had some kind of allergic reaction. The poor guy has to go to the vet for bandage changes, like EVERY WEEK!

Mom had to got to Lost Vegas in early December. She had our pet sitter stay here, she is kinda goofy. But Duncan had to stay at the vet because he doesn't like her. Wookie stayed there too because of his back. The pet sitter got in a fight with Lily because Lily took her chocolates. I had a touch of bronchitis too. Duncan beat up Charley one day and he almost had to have stitches. Mom was ticked off. Charley is so nice, I can't imagine why Duncan lit into him.

We had a big, black lab puppy named Max come and stay for a weekend a few weeks back. Boy Evie had a good time playing with him. Mom called him the "Big stupid puppy." But I know she really liked him. I think she just didn't want to confuse me. It is all about me afterall.

I think Evie was missing the big stupid puppy because she started to play tug with Duncan using my oldest human brothers brand new orange teddy bear. Ripped his head clean off. Mom did emergency surgery tonight while the little humans are at Nana's house.

Well, sorry I haven't been writting much. I hope to do better in the new year. I hope some of Mom's Funky Sway comes to all my friends out there too!

M-the-V

PS...I didn't have to dress up in antlers for christmas this year!! But I saw Bussie's picture - dressed as an elf. Bahahahahahaahahhahahahaha.Maximillian the Vallianthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18065762531385205273noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33414807.post-92175018301332208752007-11-21T18:32:00.000-05:002008-12-11T06:08:47.057-05:00Meet my new housemates

I think I told you guys about my Mom's new foster Charley. My youngest human brother turned 4 and my Mom turned 29 again. They took a trip to a local zoo. Wouldn't take me though, even though my favorite person, Nana, went too. Mom put my 6 yo human brother in charge of the pictures. Take a look.

Here is a picture my 4 yo human brother took.

Here us a picture of Nana, Mom and my littlest brother, Seth. The one with wetlands and where we need a Johnny Depp fence. It is still contigent on the sale of our current home, but Mom says homes where we are usually go within 2 months. Keep your paws crossed.

I saw this on Miss Pippin's blog and it looked like so much fun. I know there are a lot of dogs and hamsterriers out there who want to know about me...so

Let us begin:

1. Your age? I am 6 1/2 years old.

2. Your age when you came to live with your people? 8 weeks

3. What color is the collar you're wearing right now? Sky Blue

4. Who is your favorite person other than the people you live with? Nana!!! I just love Nana house!!

5. How much do you weigh? 28 lbs

6. Most expensive thing you've ever chewed up? I don't really think I've chewed anything expensive. But I do like to "break the necks" of my Mom's favorite 9 West shoes. Hey if she leaves them around I can't be held responsible. In the heat of the moment I just grab anything nearby and shake the neck off.

7. Do you like other Dogs? I like to herd other dogs and tell them what to do, does that count? There was that one cute foster Mom had for three days. Zoe the Mini Eskie, I really liked her.

9. Squeaky toys or tennis balls? Squeakies, they sound like little rodents getting their necks snapped.

10. Do you like to be brushed? No way, Mom has to send me to the groomer. And I hate it there too.

11. Peanut Butter or Cheese? Both, together if possible.

12. Do your people cut your toenails? Only if she doesn't have the money to send me to the groomer. I don't really like it, but it isn't so bad now that my dew claws are gone. Those hurt growing in a circle!!

13. Any formal education? Mom gave me private obedience lessons. She says I'm her obedient son.

14. Couch potato or Energizer Bunny? I'm a couch potato unless there are birds in my rose bushes, planes flying overhead or hot air balloons. Oh, and if there is any other animal doing something wrong in my vacinity, then I need to correct them too AND show them the right way to do things...hmmm, maybe the correct answer is Energizer Bunny.

15: Five nicknames your people call you: Well my name is Maximillian, so Max, Maxey, Maxey Moo Moo, Barkey Malone and King Whats-a-Tut?

16. What is your best trick? Down, I can hit the floor like bombs are incoming.

17. Do you like kitties? Oh yes, my kittie Schnitzel helped raise me when Mom was at work. He would babysit me and keep me out of trouble.

18. What did you have for breakfast? Wysong Maintenance with a dollup of Wysong senior wet. But the really interesting thing I ate today was Doggy Ice Cream! Mom bought some for us since it so hot right now. I had some at lunchtime and a bit before bedtime tonight.

19. Can you hunt (i.e. have you every killed anything living)? I killed a bird once, but Mom was so horrified with all the blood and feathers on the snow I've never done it again. I guess I thought it would keep the other birds out of rosebushes, but it didn't.

20. When and why was the last time you went to the V.E.T.? I haven't been since May. I've been doing really good health wise, so I haven't been there since my yearly.

21. Where do you sleep at night? Depends. I prefer sleeping on my Mom's bed, but if I'm mad at her I sleep downstairs on the couch or in my cage.

22. Do you like to swim? No, I prefer to run along the shore herding the waves into straighter lines.

23. Can you make puppies? No way...I'm not stupid! I see how much those suckers make you crazy.

24. Do you give kisses? Only to my Mom.

25: Can you potty on command? Of course.

26. To Cuz or not to Cuz? I'm not really sure what this means???Maximillian the Vallianthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18065762531385205273noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33414807.post-3763051772628472732007-07-31T20:13:00.000-05:002007-07-31T20:18:31.690-05:00relaxation...aaahhhhThings have settle down considerably here. Mom has time to take us to Kathy's for walkies...we'ver been there TWICE this week!!!

Mom is starting to get over the loss of her dream home. She has found another home she likes, not perfect, but not bad. She says it has a nice backyard with wetlands in the back. I wonder if that means there will be more birds to chase away? She says the only draw back in one neighbor that is too close. She's going to be a piracy fence. I knew she'd figure out a way to put Captn Jack in the new house...

No bids on our house yet, but we're still hopeful. Mom says we are leaving our house open on Sunday while we go to Kathy's. Cool.

M-the-VMaximillian the Vallianthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18065762531385205273noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33414807.post-45056379478179727242007-07-25T18:44:00.000-05:002007-07-25T18:46:20.213-05:00not good news...Mom is upset...the house she wanted to buy was bought today by someone else. Now she is talking about just staying here. I think she is just upset, but she says nothing she sees compares to what she has or her "dream house."

Oy, she is really cranky.

M-the-VMaximillian the Vallianthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18065762531385205273noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33414807.post-40981113896561025082007-07-23T05:58:00.000-05:002007-07-23T06:00:25.697-05:00Update to the house...Well all gentle pups (and hamsterrier),

the house goes on the market today!! so keep your paws crossed.
