Sometimes my life sucks...

Being in doggie rescue, well it doesn't make me very happy all the time. Here are some of the reasons.Yes, that is a puppy, and yes it is my new sissy, here to stay.Yes, that is a small pony. Okay, not here to stay (thank goodness) and not a pony. Actually he is okay, kinda nice. Kinda.

No news doesn't mean all is well..

Well, here I am again. Been a while. Here is the long and short of it.

Nicky Noodle Collie has a new home. He and Duncan were just fighting so much and no one was happy. So Mom gave him up. I don't miss him, but she does. She has cried buckets over him. (I'm still here, whats to cry about?). Nicky now lives with a family with two daughters, and a cat. No other dogs. I hear he is being spoilt rotten.

Miles left for a new foster, Sophie went back to the rescue shelter. She still is waiting for a forever home.

We've had several new fosters come and go. Bellatrix, Rori, and Major. Major is a Pug and he only has two teeth. He is staying. Mom and the human boys love him and he likes to sleep. Who doesn't?

Tavish got lost on New Years Day and ended spending the night out. He was found by someone two miles away from Nana's house, on the other side of the lake. Mom was totally freaked. Tavish's heart has gotten worse since then. He has had three grand mal seizures that we know about. He is on another heart medicine and Mom hopes she won't have to add phena barb to it.

Duncan is happier, I'm sort of happier. We have a new deaf foster named Regan, she is an Aussie.

And the big news is that we have a new puppy. Yes, Mom caved and we now have little Vanilla Milkshake aka Nillie. Nillie is a 9 week old Sheltiex/Chihuhua. She is a pest.

For all my girlfriends who have missed me. I'm still handsome, and right now I smell really good. My Mom had me groomed, I hated it, but if it makes me better looking, who can fight it.

Mom has a new computer so no pictures right now...but soon, as soon as she ports some over, whatever that means.

Love and kisses

Thanks...

Thanks for all the kind words about Wookie's passing. We all miss him a lot. It is kinda funny how a little Wookie can leave such a huge space in our hearts.
Well, Sophie finally left this week. It is sad and it is a relief. Mom said she had a hard time with it because Sophie trusted her. But Sophie will have a better chance of getting a home if she is at the kennel.
Here is the latest addition to our house. This is Miles the puppy. He is annoying.

Not quite as annoying as this character though! (aka Nicky the Noodle)

Sad News indeed

Well our little brother Wookie passed away last weekend. I haven't had much energy to blog about it. We all miss him a lot. He was 17 years old and had been with us for 3 years. Frankly, Mom was surprised he stayed so long. My little human brothers were gone for the weekend so they didn't get to say goodbye, but they were rolling down the car windows in the dark and yelling it out to the trees, "We love you Wookie!" "We miss you Wookie!"

Now Mom is going to be sending Sophie back to the rescue because she bit Mom twice last weekend. She wasn't trying to bit Mom, she was trying to get Duncan.

Duncan has had it very rough recently. Nicky has been really going after him. Nicky has gotten a little better, but he did it again today. Mom was ticked and Nicky had to stay in his crate all afternoon.

Mom pulled another Sheltie senior from the local shelter. His name was Tinder. Mom like him a lot, but he went to another foster while Sophie is here. But we did get to have a Sheltie party with me, Tavish and Tinder.

Tavish was sick a while ago and it turns out he has congestive heart failure like me. Mom says she needs to take out stock in the company that makes the medicine lasix.

And NOW we have a sheltie puppy staying with us. Mom hasn't gotten him to stand still long enough for a picture. He is a "lethal white." That means both his parents were blue merles and that he is deaf and partially blind. Sure doesn't stop him though. He is 9 months old. Nicky thinks that he is his twin lost at birth. The two of them play non stop. My older human brother loves the two of them too. Mom keeps saying that my older human brother needs to take care of "his puppy." Man I hope that doesn't mean that Miles is staying. Can we trade him in for Tinder?

There was a cat that adopted us that Mom named Baboo. She sent him to the rescue to be neutured, but he didn't come back. He tested positive for FIV and has to stay with the rescue until they can find a foster home that takes in FIV positive cats. Mom was really sad about it. But I know that Schnitzel and Teddycat aren't sad at all. I think they are delighted.

Mom is worried about them being sick with FIV now. She moans about her vet bill because it is twice the size of her monthly mortgage. I guess it is a good thing that her vet is rescue friendly too. Mom says she needs to stop helping the older dogs, but I doubt she can stop that.

I hope everyone is doing well. I'll try and check in.
