I'm mad....
I slept downstairs last night. I'm really mad at mom. She had the nerve to try and clip my nails last night right before bedtime. I tried to co-operate, well sort of, but then I just couldn't stand it. What is worse, I know she isn't finished and will try and get my dew claws again. They grow in a circle and mom is always worried they will grow into my pad. It is hard to decided which is worse, having it grow into my pad or having mom with the clippers. M-the-V

Hi Maxi, I used to hate clipping nails too... until J sings to me while she clips. Maybe you could get your mum to do so...
For me, I got shocked by J's singing (too horrid) that she managed to clip my nails... hiak hiak hiak

My Dad used to clip my nails but then one day he cut too close and I cried. Now he won't do it. He's a softy but no one knows it. So now my human sister does it when she comes over - or I have to go to the groomer.
Hey Maxey, mum uses a dremel for my nails since my nails are all black. I like it much better because it doesn't have that weird sensation I got from nail clippers. It is basically like an electronic nail file.

Yah, having your nails clipped really stinks. I say suck it up and don't fight because you can get it over with quicker. Also, you just might get a treat afterwards!
Hey Max, I think getting your nails grow into your pad is much worse. So just bear with it or chomp on a toy's neck when you're getting your nails clip

I made my people promise to get written consent before clipping my nails--then at least I'm prepared.
One of our kitties had her nail grow into her pad--you have to let you person clip yours if they try to do that because otherwise you have to go to the vet and have it done there.

yeah, mom clipped my nails yesterday and got really mad when i squirmed around. but after she clips she FILES with this nail file thingy. good grief. what's a pup to do?

They friends! for all the comiseration. She is still trying to get that dew claw. I guess I might actually end up at the groomers if I don't...geez.
Jay, thanks for the thought, Mom sings a lot to us. We each have our own song. I like her singing but I don't think it could distract me.

I like Sunshade's mom's way of doin' things. Dad wants to get a Dremel too, cuz my nails are black. Right now I go to the vet and/or the groomer comes to my house. Dad hates it when I sing. I do too.
Go to the vet. Let them torture you.

My Mom's tactic is to trim mine every week (gheesh!!!) just a little bit so that she doesn't ever have to clip much and so I get used to it. She doesn't know it but I will never get used to it.
