Mom and I played keep away this morning. I just love that game. We made a video but it was too dark to share. All the other dogs were outside, so Mom grabbed the bunny and chased me. I love to be chased. When she got tired I had to actually put the bunny in her lap, but she chased me and played tug. It was a fun morning. But then Mom came back from church sad. She saw some friends from her past life, when she stayed home with me and my human brothers. She doesn't get to see them anymore now that she works full time. I tried to cheer her up, I broke the neck of the bunny for her. She always laughs. Even though she laughed I think she is still a little sad.
Anyway, here are the pumpkins the human brothers picked. It is kinda funny that the littlest took so long to pick pumpkins and then chose the tiniest he could find. Blogger wouldn't let me upload the picture earlier.

Sorry to hear that your mom is sad. Seeing friends that you haven't seen in a long time can do that.
I am sure that your handsome smile will cheer her up though.
Try to lick your Mom and lay close to her to cheer her up. It works at my house.
Max you got chased by a bunny?
Hope your mum feels better, break more necks to show her. ;)

Hi Maxi, be there for your mummy. I'm sure she will be back to her old self in no time. Keep up your antics which make her laugh, and she will be happy once again!

Maxey, I LOVE to play keep away game too!! I taunt mum with my toys all the time and then I go hide in my tunnel until mum goes to chase me, then I run out from the other end!!
That is one HUGE pumpkin, and your hooman brother is smart to pick one he could carry!
Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade
Thank you for all the wonderful advice. Mom doesn't get down very often so I'm not used to cheering her up.
Boomer, Copper and Jay I will ply all my charms and illicit help from Evie too. Evie can make anyone smile.
Fufu - oh no, Mom chased me trying to get the bunny. Her reflexes are pretty slow though.
Sunny, I am a very herdy sort of guy, given the opportunity I would herd anything. I prefer to herd birds, kids, other dogs and the cat. But I think ponies might be fun too. I have a tunnel too, but it hasn't been out recently. As for being sick, I've had an enlarged heart and liver. Mom thought I was going into renal failure 2 months ago. I had a seizure..turned out most of my problems are tied to my thyroid. So I'm loads better.

Hey MV - I get seizures sometimes too, doesn't hurt but it scares Mommy & Daddy every time it happens.
I love to kill bunnies - grrrrrrr.

Oh wow Maxey....I thought I was the Queen of health problems here...
That must have been scary for your mama to think you were going in renal failure. I have renal insufficiency as well you know due a conventional vet overdosing me with anti inflammatory drugs when I was just a puppy suffering from my bad elbow. Mum found out about my kidneys when I was 3 during an ultrasound for her pancreas. My BUN & Creat have never been out of the normal range, so the blood work didn't show. Mum was so afraid I was gonna go into renal failure eventurally and she did heaps of research, thank doG I am almost 7 now and my blood work still looks good.
Yeah..that thyroid thing sucks!! Mum is suspecting that I might have "atypical" cushings (elevation of sex hormones), and that's why un-neutered boy dogs go crazy when they see me. I am a spayed girl.
Mum is in quite a few online dog groups for Chronic renal failure, and Cushings. She's learned a lot (diet, supplements, treatments) from being on those groups.
Sorry I posted a post......
Lots of nibbly love,
Miss Sunshade
